As we step into this new month, we are slowing things down and leaning into something deeply important for our children and for us as parents: Emotional regulation and Communication.
This month, we will be exploring how emotional safety lays the foundation for communication. Before words come easily, before conversations flow, our children need to feel safe, understood and regulated. Honestly, so do we as parents.
Our February focus includes:
– Practical ways to support emotional regulation at home and at school
– Strengthening expressive and receptive language in everyday moments
– Building calmer, more predictable family rhythms
– Age-appropriate regulation strategies for teens and youth
We have two key moments to gather as a community this month:
📅 Collaborative Instagram Live with @Neurokidsallies
🎯 Topic: Helping Our Kids Feel Safe Enough to Speak.
An honest, grounded conversation with a neurodivergent ally on emotional safety, regulation, and supporting confident communication.
This will be a relaxed, conversational live session, and we’d love for you to join, listen in, and share your reflections.
